Acting Governor Stephen M. Sweeney also issued an Executive Order directing the state to operate under a state of emergency.
Senate President Steve Sweeney, the state’s acting governor while Gov. Chris Christie and Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno are out of state, declared a state of emergency this evening. A decision on whether state government offices would be closed on Monday was not expected to be made until later tonight.
