10′s of thousands flock to the Jersey Shore to escape the heat wave. Belmar beach is packed and unguarded beach as the crowds pile a week ahead of the regular summer lifeguard weekday schedule. Belmar and many shore towns do not charge to get on the beach before area schools are on summer break so the beaches are free packed and people are in the water everywhere along the Jersey Shore today. Thank God the surf conditions are minimal so the lack of lifeguards should be okay
