Update 9:30am from Weather Optics: & also NYNJPA Weather
The dynamics at play here are incredible — Our secondary low takes complete control late tonight and tomorrow morning, stalls out, and cold air crashes behind. Wind gusts 50-60 mph+ w/ rain changing over to heavy wet snow. SE NE could be looking at gusts 70+ mph.
To me its sounds like Hurricane Irene strength, but I am just going by what I read, Irene was 65MPH winds
Each storm is unique. This storm is going to be very bad. We'll do comparison studies in the field AFTER the storm. I hate comparing other storms to upcoming forecasts. https://t.co/myQ4GB5gh3
