Man killed by NJ Transit train in Sea Girt

SEA GIRT – A NJ Transit train struck and killed a 21-year-old Spring Lake man who was on the railroad tracks early Saturday morning, approximately 150 feet north of the Washington Boulevard crossing, here.
According to NJ Transit spokesman Dan Stessel, Marcus Craig was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident occurred at 12:57 a.m.
The train was headed south, to Bay Head.
NJ Transit Police, Sea Girt Police, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Manasquan First Aid Squad responded to the scene.
There were approximately 20 passengers on the train at the time of the incident and there were no injuries to passengers.
